Upcoming Events

What an awesome year it has been for G4G. In January our goal was to grill chickens at 25 events this year. We are on track to provide Grill for God chicken plates at 27 events for the 2011 year. In December we are serving at a Toys for Tots drive on the 1st in Greensboro, and partnering with Samaritan's Feet Ministries and C12 Group on the 3rd in Charlotte.

On December 3rd our partnership with Samaritan's Feet will provide 250 pairs of shoes to individuals in Charlotte. Grill for God will provide grilled chicken plates and hotdogs and hamburgers to people who show up that day. Samaritan's Feet International, Grill For God, and C12 Group will use this opportunity to share God's love with the least, the lost, and the last.

Fifth Street Ministries

On June 11th the Grill for God team served the residents and neighbors of Fifth Street Ministries located in Statesville, NC. What a blessing for our volunteers to be able to give back to our community. We cooked 36 chickens and made 144 plates. The guests enjoyed the food and the volunteers enjoyed interacting with the people being served.

Bethesda Center for the Homeless Winston-Salem

On April 16, 2011 we served 144 plates at Bethesda Center for the Homeless. We stuck it out through some strong winds and periods of heavy rain. Thankfully we were allowed to serve inside the homeless shelter which kept us out of the rain while serving. We partnered with Delivering Equal Access to Care for this event. They provided medical screenings to the residents.

Habitat for Humanity

On March 11th Grill for God served the volunteers of Habitat for Humanity. Every March college students from across the country donate their Spring Break to Habitat for Humanity. The week of March 11th students from 3 universities came and helped work on a rehab and a new build in Statesville. The students and employees of Habitat for Humanity of Iredell County enjoyed 60 chicken plates.

Toys for Tots

On Friday December 3rd, Grill For God joined in the effort to provide a merrier Christmas to needy children in the Triad.  The folks at Ward Black Law hosted an all day event to collect donations for Toys for Tots in Greensboro.  Grill For God grilled chicken and boxed up lunches for all donors and attendees.  We made a few new friends and demonstrated the spirit of  love and generosity which Christ taught us.
